Infuse your everyday life with a touch of magic

Life gets busy sometimes. It can feel impossible to balance life, work, children, health, family, friendships and so on and so on. I often find myself rushing about trying to get so many things done within this 24 hour clock. One thing I have noticed, even so much as it manifesting in my body making it hard to ignore, is this often causes me stress. It's undeniable how my soul craves a different, much slower start to the day.

Are your days similar? Are you taking notice of the stress accumulating in your body? Whether it be aches and pains or gut issues. Maybe you'd like to add a little magic into your day. I'm not talking about getting out the cauldron and digging up a deadman's toe... but how about we bring this back to basics. Where all magic begins, with a little bit of the most special ingredient, intention.


This is my plan; I am going to begin my day with a powerful affirmation. I plan to speak words that resonate with my spirit and set the tone for my day. My internal clock wakes up 1-2 hours before I need to. Most days I am so tired I force myself back to sleep. Now, if you'll join me in doing so, I will speak these words of my choosing each morning. I'm not suggesting to set your alarm clock an hour before you need to, however, this has proved to be very beneficial to many; Speaking an affirmation to yourself can be as simple as you make it. You can do this while washing your face or bushing your teeth, taking more time out of your day is not a necessity, but adding intention to things you already do throughout your morning is a great start. You can begin your affirmations by saying,

"I embrace the magic within me," "I am in tune with the energies of the Universe," "I am so lucky, miracles happen to me daily."

I drink a cup of matcha each morning. This has really become a relaxing ritual for me that I have found so much joy in. Joy in the preparation and process. I feel the effects when I skip it. I normally rush off do what I need to do then when I get the time in the day to pause I will make my matcha latte and relish in that moment. I plan on doing this ritual first thing in the morning and really be present. I plan to speak my affirmation into my tea. To embody it and feel my body absorb my affirmation from within. Feel the warmth in my hands and live in that moment. For me, it isn't just matcha; it's a potion of self-care, mindfulness and gratitude. I plan on using the time it takes me to drink my matcha latte to express my gratitude towards the Universe and all that is connected. I will write this all in a journal so when I'm feeling low I'll have something to look back on to remind myself how lucky I am for this human experience on this earth.


I wear crystals everyday, whether it be a bracelet or necklace, most days even both. I'll mindfully choose one, or a few, that resonate with my day's intention. I will hold it in my hands, close my eyes and visualise its energy merging with mine. I will let the crystal amplify my intentions and protect my energy throughout the day. I will let the crystal help me to set my days affirmation as a reminder if I start to stray with the hectic hustle and bustle of my everyday life.

As I step outside, I will mindfully connect with the nature around me for however brief or long as I have time. I'll start by taking a deep breath of fresh air, perks of living in the countryside. Simply touching my favourite tree and listening to the morning birds sing, enough to ground me into alignment with the elements around me.


As simple as these things may seem, they will connect me deeply to my magic. Adding intention to your morning will flood it with magical energy.

Magic isn't only about elaborate spells or extravagant rituals. It's about infusing your everyday life with a touch of magic, nurturing your spiritual connection and aligning with your inner self.
